The Fort Worth Football Officials current Varsity Assignment Secretary is Joe Breal.

Mr. Breal is 51 and a native of Biloxi, Mississippi. He has lived in Fort Worth since 1979 and began his officiating career in 1980 in the Fort Worth Chapter. He has served the chapter as its vice-president and has been a trainer for new officials.

Joe is currently the District 3 Director and sits on the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO) Football board representing the Fort Worth, Pecan Valley, and Wichita Falls chapters.

Joe's officiating experiences includes working for the following high school associations and college conferences:

- Southwest Football Officials Association

- Texas Junior College

- American Southwest Conference

He has officiated multiple playoff games in Class 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A & 1A. 

Joe is currently employed by IBM as a Computer Software Specialist.

The Fort Worth Chapter is very proud to have Joe as our Assignment Secretary and he is capable of devoting 100% to the coach’s needs as your Assignment Secretary.
